Navigation Simulator

The flagship navigation simulator: multiple NAVAIDs, switchable glass-cockpit and analog "six-pack" instrument panels, north-up / heading-up display modes, and a full keyboard-flyable flight environment. Rebuilt natively for crisp vector instruments and dark mode.

Caution: the behaviour of the instruments and information shown is approximate, for illustration and study only, and may not reflect the exact readings of a real aircraft.

Instructions for use

This is the full picture: two VORs (ALFA and BRAVO) and an NDB (KILO) laid out on a moving map, with your aircraft at the centre. Fly it with the keyboard and watch every instrument update together.

Tuning & the panels

  • Pick a NAV source to drive the VOR/CDI, the glass-cockpit course needle and the primary (cyan) RMI needle. The amber RMI needle always points to the NDB.
  • Switch between the glass cockpit (PFD with airspeed, attitude, altitude, heading tapes and a CDI strip) and the analog six-pack with a VOR and a dual-needle RMI.
  • Toggle north-up / heading-up on the navigation display.

Try this

  • Tune ALFA, press Centre · TO to drop the course onto the inbound track, then press Fly and steer to centre the CDI.
  • Watch the DME count down as you approach, and the RMI needles swing as you pass overhead.
  • Re-tune to BRAVO and intercept a new radial — classic VOR-to-VOR navigation.
