Build the HSI scan: combined heading and course information, course-deviation bar, and the heading-bug-driven situational picture that makes intercepts intuitive. Includes a panel-detail toggle up to the full six-pack.
Caution: the behaviour of the instruments and information shown is approximate, for illustration and study only, and may not reflect the exact readings of a real aircraft.
The HSI merges the heading indicator and the VOR into one picture. The compass card is slaved to your heading (heading under the top lubber), and the cyan course arrow is set to your selected course — so it always points to where that course lies relative to your nose.
